We’re
two brothers
from East London, building thoughtfully designed spaces with precise delivery and local insight - places where communities thrive and stories continue to grow.
In the late 1950s, our Babaji migrated from Panjab and made home on Arbery Road in Mile End. While working as foreman in a glass factory,
he bought his first house at auction in 1979, the house we grew up in. Over the decades that followed, with our dad by his side, they spent evenings and weekends restoring tired Victorian homes across East London.
In 2017, we began our own chapter, focussing on new build projects. We started at home, by demolishing the garage of that very first auction house and building a small one-bed bungalow. That story continues today with over 30 homes delivered on derelict, backland and infill sites across our patch of the city.
We have learned a lot since we began, made mistakes, grown, and found our place. We grew up in East London, and we want to keep adding to the depth of history, culture and creativity that already exists in our neighbourhoods and our communities.
Ultimately, our aim is for every Kahani project to be a platform for residents, independent businesses and the wider community to start their next story with pride.
Thoughtful design & precise delivery
Design led spaces, delivered with care from start to finish. As both developer and main contractor, we protect the vision, stay close to the detail, and create buildings we’re proud to walk past every time.
Rooted in local insight
Seven decades of family history in East London informs every decision. We work with a deep understanding of local context and culture, knowing what has changed, what needs to, and what must be preserved.
Spaces that spark lasting opportunity
Every project is shaped for long term impact. Places where local ideas grow, neighbours connect, and culture thrives. Creating genuine value for people and neighbourhoods over time.
